Dear Judge Davis,
On Tuesday, 2/20/07, I received a letter from attorney Ricardo Lopez on behalf of Seguin Independent School District responding to your letter of February 2, 2007. I have received their "Amended Plea to the Jurisdiction" and I am in the process of finishing a response to that Amended Plea. I also will amend "Plaintiff's Motion for Default Judgment and Contempt and Sanctions Against Attorneys Lopez and Santos," abandoning the default portion. I will also want to read and respond to the Motions for protective orders that the attorneys for the District and Tavie Murphy have said they will file. I do not want to have the protective order motions as a surprise at a hearing on something else. I cannot imagine what these protective orders would be concerning, outside of First Amendment protected actions, as I am unaware of any abuse of process, discovery or harassment of any kind. I will file Plaintiff's First Amended Original Petition this week along with Plaintiff's Response to the Seguin ISD Amended Plea to the Jurisdiction. I hope this additional information will be helpful in scheduling the hearing on this case.
Sincerely,
Ronald F. Avery
